Answer: Yes! We will help you find the best health plan to meet your needs.
FAQ: What does it take to get an employee up and running on your service? How does your onboarding process work?
Answer: We make onboarding easy! We meet with all new employees to explain our role, work with them to complete the required paperwork and explain the new benefits and perks they will get by becoming a part of Payroll Express.
FAQ: You talk about the employee self-service offering. How does this benefit my employees and my business?
Answer: Our web portal gives employees easy access to information they need. They have the ability to print check stubs and W-2 Forms. They don’t have to bother you for this information!
FAQ: How much interaction is there between the PEO and my employees?
Answer: Most of the interaction is based on employees calling us regarding payroll or benefit questions. Your employees can contact us any time they have a question.
FAQ: If my employees have an issue, who can they talk to? Do they contact the PEO directly or does everything have to go through me?
Answer: During the onboarding process, your employees are provided the contact information for Payroll Express so they can call us directly. They don’t have to interrupt your busy schedule. Your employees have access to guidance on simple day-to- day questions as well as complex issues. They can contact us anytime they have an issue.
FAQ: How much liability goes to the PEO vs. the business owner if there is a legal action against the company (sexual harassment, wrongful termination, etc.)? How much assistance does the PEO provide in settling these disputes?
Answer: While all claims cannot be avoided, Payroll Express offers our Clients a minimization of risk by providing tools and consultations that help reduce the likelihood of a claim. If a claim does occur, we are actively engaged in the resolution.
FAQ: I’ve read about losing control of certain aspects of my business if I go with a PEO?
Answer: This is a misconception of going with a PEO. In fact you gain control over your business after going with a PEO. By eliminating the transactional tasks of employment, you are able to focus on the bigger picture of running your business.
FAQ: What, if anything, is the PEO able to do without my consent?
Answer: The Payroll Express service agreement outlines each party’s responsibilities and obligations. We only act on your behalf as agreed to in the agreement.
FAQ: Who handles state unemployment taxes (SUTA) and claims? Do I have to do anything?
Answer: We handle all the SUTA taxes and claims! You can rest easy knowing that you are in good hands.
FAQ: How do you assure me you have remitted my state and federal taxes?
Answer: Under the PEO relationship, your payroll is reported under our FEIN, so in essence the liability of those taxes is ours.
